• Looking Ahead to Holy Week   Holy Week is a special time to remember all that God has done for us and to walk with Jesus through celebration, intimate gatherings, the cross, and resurrection. 

  • Maundy Thursday, April 17 at 7:00pm

  • Good Friday, April 18 at Noon and 7:00pm

  • Easter Sunday, April 20 at 9:30am 

We hope you can join us in person for each of these services, but they will also each be available via livestream on our website. ​

• First Communion Invitation  Each year, we provide opportunities for children who aren’t communing to learn about this special meal and to receive their First Communion.  If your child would like to participate this spring, please speak with Pastor Mike or e-mail pastormike@hosannalutheranchurch.org by Easter Sunday.  Hosanna! does not have an age requirement for First Communion, but rather entrusts children and families to know when the time is right for them.  If you would like help determining if that time is now, speak with Pastor Mike.

• In As Much Ministry   The following items are the most urgent needs for the clients:
  Canned fruit (Mandarin oranges, pineapple, peaches), Sloppy Joe Sauce, Rice sides, Pasta sides, Cream of mushroom soup, Ketchup, Graham crackers, Dry pasta, Sugar, Canned chicken, Brownie mix. Please place the items in the red wagon by the fellowship doors. Thank you for your continued support.  

• Lutheran Family and Children’s Services Expanding in Kansas City   LFCS has been strengthening connections and making a positive impact in eastern Missouri communities for over 150 years.  Over the past decade, they’ve expanded their reach to central Missouri, and now Kansas City.  Although their offices are at 1 E. Armour Blvd., Suite 102
  In KCMO, they visit homes and clinic to provide pregnancy services,  parenting services, adoption services, and mental health counseling to those who need extra help.  Learn more about their work and how you can support them at https://lfcsmo.org.  

• Earn 5% for Hosanna! When Dining Local  Hosanna! has received a lot of funding for ministry by members purchasing and using RaiseRight gift cards.  A new feature allows you to support Hosanna! when you eat at select local restaurants--without gift cards.  Here's how:  

  1. Tap the Local Dining icon in the bottom navigation menu of the RaiseRight app and follow the instructions to link a credit or debit card specifically for local dining.  

  2. Search for participating local restaurants in the app.  Nearby participants include Minsky’s, Sorella’s, 54th Street Grill, Tropical Smoothie, Pizza Shoppe, and many more.

  3. Pay with your linked card at the listed restaurants.  No gift card or use of the app is needed.

  4. You pay the same amount, but Hosanna! automatically receives a donation equal to 5% of your bill.
